The bitter bile of disgust greets me in the morning,

threatening to choke me, to overwhelm my senses.

Don't even need to see the headlines, always the same,

angry lashing out, at perceived enemies, at the world.

A junior high student in his seventies, in a fistfight

with the principal, and reality, a towering ego

disguised as wisdom . Misplaced blame, misdirected rage,

misguided beliefs, a caged tiger pacing verbally on display to the world,

and every channel, a mental disorder of the highest order,

a lab rat in a slovenly suit, sleep apnea, brain apnea,

you name the disorder, he suffers from it, on full display,

but apparently not for The Kool-Aid Brigade.
